The benefits of empowering to use of AI

20.01.2026

Since we first showed our OpenSlots no-code game builder after ICE this year, the reception in the industry has been great. We think it is the future but, whatever you think are the pros and cons of AI-powered game development, here are some of the unexpected benefits that we have seen by finding ways to empower the team to explore the use of AI.

1) Questioning how we can improve each process has led to totally unforeseen changes that have resulted in faster game certification. We broke down the game development process and realised somethings could be done side by side for faster development, deployment and crucially, certification.

2) Allowing individual team members the space (time and opportunities) to learn about AI, and the freedom to imagine how it could impact their roles has led to amazing user-led innovation not just in game development but also in other departments, such as project management and compliance.

3) Reporting can be very personal and AI has given individuals the opportunity to look at data in the way that suits them. In any IT company where development resources and time are at a premium, AI opens the door to tailored, enhanced reporting, without the need for new reports, code changes and so on. This does not mean SaaS is dead and we can all vibe code our own version of "Salesforce" but it does empower individuals to get what they need to perform better.
